Singing Time!

THIS SOUNDTRACK IS RAD DUDES

But seriously, I love this soundtrack, listening to it all the way through was one big fun and emotional ride and I cannot wait to be able to learn my parts of it and place it all together with everyone!

My favourite song is most likely "I Know What You Want". "I Know What You Want" is sung by the witch, obviously. The song is about how the witch from the swamp can foretell peoples death, and she's going to show Edwards death to him. When I hear the song, I feel like I could do anything  and that I am the most empowered person on the planet. Both the music and the voice together just fills everything with power. I find it loud, proud, and just a really fun song. On stage I imagine the Witch and Edward on the porch of the Witches house in the swamp situated on one of the sides of stage. As the witch is singing she's walking forward, sort of pushing Edward backwards until a certain point on the stage (most likely once they two are sharing centre stage. The other witches appear when they're cued and they're dancing and singing around them.

If I had to pick my least favourite song I would choose "Little Lamb from Alabama". "Little Lamb from Alabama" is sung by Sandra Templeton and 2 of her friends. The song is one that the girls wrote together and auditioned for the circus with. And as they're preforming it, Edward comes in and sees her, which leads into the song "Time Stops".What I assume is that the song is supposed to be cutesy and fun. But i really only find it a bit tacky and mildly annoying. I don't mean to be rude, honestly! I really just have no appeal to this song personally and i really just don't connect with it. But I have complete confidence that the girls who preform it will do an excellent job and who knows, they could even change my mind. With that being said, I have no ideas for how to change the song to make it "better" because its a well made song, it's just a personal preference that I dislike the song.

  1. I love your take on the song "I know what you want". I totally feel the same way when i listen to the song its so powerful and sassy I absolutely love it. Also I think that the way you described it would look super cool from the audiences point of view. 10/10 fiss ;)
